Hint of Spring

It is amazing how the first time the temperature climbs north of 45 degrees, attitudes, outlooks, and clothes change.  You can tell the women around here are tired of the cold.  I mean it is only 58 degrees outside, but yet the women dare to wear their short skirts and capri pants, both of which show off their damn assets so well.  They are wearing flimsy, sexy blouses which are almost see-thru, tempting men, like me, to gaze longingly.  It is like a showcase for the new spring wardrobe.  Isn't it still a little cold for these clothes?  Not that I am complaining, just wondering.  I guess they are as tired of being covered up as we are as tired of seeing them covered up.

The temp change also has me running again, which is a good thing.  Winter was tough as I cant run outside - too dark and the streets are too busy (4 lanes with cars driving 60 mph, in the dark = BAD), so I run on the dreadmill.  But now I know I will be outside soon enough, so it is time to get back on track (no pun intended).  Before I know it, it will be race time and I need to put up a good showing at these 5Ks.  I mean, there are some really good looking women in spandex at these races and who wants to run poorly in front of them?  If that isn't enough motivation to run well, then I'm not sure what is.

Sometimes I wish I had a pace bunny running with me while I train, just for that little extra motivation.  Any takers?

Duh. Hello! ;)

It is funny. I find myself doing the same thing. Temps get in the 50's and out come the flip flops, peep toe heels, capris.... It's a mind set thing. Women get bored of their wardrobes too. As much as I love summer and my summer clothes, I get excited to begin wearing my fall stuff. And now the opposite, sick of the winter stuff, bring on the spring clothes!
